Mekong

Luang Prabang is a little, nice town beautiful located on the Mekong river,
which is big and powerful.
The alternative to come back to Vientiane by bus was not even worth to think about it.
On place we got to know that to come to another city which border with Thailand will take 36 hours.
So to take the boat on the Mekong river seemed to be extremaly attractive.
The trip took two days from morning to evening with a breake for the night.
The boat was OK. but it showed to have only half of the soft seats, which after closer look appeared to be old seats from cars and they were not fixed to the floor.
We were lucky because we got the soft seats, the second half of the passengers have no choice and had to seat on the home made wooden banks.
But the views from the boat were breathtaking.

Luang Prabang bylo milym miasteczkiem, ladnie polozone nad Mekongiem,
ktory jest potezna, rwista rzeka.
Alternatywa wracania autobusem do Vientiane nie wchodzila nawet w gre, a na miejscu dowiedzielismy sie, ze dojazd do nastepnego granicznego miasteczka z Thailandia zajmuje jeszcze wiecej, bo 36 godzin. Bardzo atraktywne wiec wydawalo sie nam przeplyniecie tej drogi Mekongiem.
Podroz zajmowala dwa dni od switu do nocy, z postojem na nocleg.
Lodka byla OK. okazala sie jednak zawierac tylko polowe miekkich miejsc, ktore po blizszym przyjzeniu sie okazaly sie siedzeniami z samochodow nie przymocowanymi niczym do podlogi.
My mielismy super szczescie i dostalismy wlasnie te miekkie siedzenia.
Polowa pasazerow skazana zostala na drewniane, domowo sklecone laweczki, rowniez nie przymocowane do podlogi.
Widoki byly jednak przecudne.

Luang Prabang es una un bonito pueblo con una linda ubicacion a orillas del Mekong, un enorme rio con muchas corrientes.
La possibilidad de retornar a Vientiane en autobus ni siquera de pensar y en LP nos enteramos de que llegar a una ciudad fronteriza con Thailandia se tardaba mas de 36 horas en autobus.
A si que la possiblidad de hacer a viaje sobre el Mekong nos resulto muy atractiva.
El viaje duraba dos dias desde el amanecer hasta entrada la noche con una parada para pasar la noche.
El barco estaba OK.resulto que solo la mittad de los asientos eran asientos blandos, los que despues de mirarlos mas atentamente resultaron ser asientos traseros de automoviles que reciberon una segunda vida y no estaban atornillados al suelo. Tuvimos mucha suerte y nos tocaron estos ex asientos de automoviles.
La mittad de los pasajeros tuvo que conformarse con bancos de madera que tampoco estaban fijados al suelo.
Las vistas fueron estupendas.

The boat.

After 1 hour on the hard bank it was more confortable to seat on the floor.
Po godzinie siedzenia na takiej laweczce wygodniej bylo siedziec na podlodze.
Despues de estar sentados una hora en los bancos de madera fue mas comodo utilizar el suelo.

Soft seats... miekkie siedzenia...asientos comodos...

At the end of the day the boat engin looked very red and tired!
Na koniec dnia silnik lodki byl troche goracy i wygladal lekko zmeczony!
Al final del dia el caño de escape del motor del barco esta al rojo vivo!
